Greer Springs Missouri

Last weekend was my fall colors trip at Greer Springs Missouri near Alton Missouri in the southern section of the state and the heart of the Ozark region. The best word to describe Greer Spring is simply enchanting! Most definitely one of the best remote gems of Ozarks and one of the main sources of the beautiful and scenic Eleven Point River. Greer Springs has two discharge outlets, the smaller outlet is the cave on the east side and the large outlet is the spring boil downstream on the north side which discharges an average of 354 cubic feet of water per second and displayed in rich aqua blue color.
